Motorists have been warned to take care on the roads during peak hour this morning after heavy downpours made for tricky conditions.

Swanbourne appears to have copped the worst of the downpour, registering 19.4mm since 5am, followed by Perth Airport which received 6.2mm after 6am, while Bickley got 3.8mm.

Elsewhere the showers were light.
