Airnorth lashed for leaving passengers in the dark after cancelling flight without warning

 Airnorth is blaming a worker shortage for a flight cancellation as remote passengers lash the airline for keeping them in the dark.

Aboriginal health director Millie Hills was caught up in the chaos and confusion at East Kimberley Regional Airport yesterday and is still chasing an explanation from the airline.

The Yura Yungi chairperson left Halls Creek at 5am yesterday to catch an 11:30am flight to Perth, via Broome, for a health forum.

She arrived at the airport an hour before her flight and then "nothing happened".
